No one can ever say Beth Shak is afraid to take on a new challenge. The pro poker player whose 2007 2nd place finish in the $3,000 No Limit Hold’em event at the 38th WSOP catapulted her into instant poker celebrity doesn’t seem to be intimidated by anything.

“I don’t care who I’m sitting with. It doesn’t matter if I’m sitting with a table of unknown people, or a table of pros. I know my cards are my cards, and if I hit them I hit them, and I just don’t get intimidated,” she said.

That same confidence in her own abilities has spilled over to other aspects of Beth Shak life. When she’s away from the tables, Beth Shak is busy working on her signature line of women’s clothing, accessories and lingerie. She’s also working on her own reality show. No challenge seems to faze this remarkable woman.
