Lonny Gordon as a Professor and his other Professional Experiences

Lonny Gordon currently works at the Illinois State University – College of Fine Art as a professor. As such, Lonny Gordon’s teachings involves Art in Context, Survey of Art – Renaissance to 20th Century, Beginning Drawing, Advanced Choreography and Improvisation, all levels of Dance Technique, Rhythmic Studies, Music and Dance Relationships, Dance In Film, Acting and Directing, Fine Arts Business Management, Theory and Philosophy, Aesthetics and Criticism, Dance Appreciation, and Cultural Studies of Japan and Korea.

In addition, Lonny Gordon also has a number of professional experiences which includes being a Guest Artist at Smith College, Northampton, MA – Commencement Concert in honor of Rosalind DeMille from May 17 – 19, 1984; Artist in Residence at the Ewha Women’s University in Seoul, Korea for 3  months in 1983; Artist in Residence at the Kung Hee University in Seoul, Korea for 5 months in 1983, Cultural Reviewer for the Korean Times in Korea in 1983, Artist in Residence at the Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, New York during the summers of 1976 – 1978, ; Artist in Residence at the Smith College in Northampton, MA during the autumn of 1975 and on January 1981, Guest Soloist at the Chicago Moving Company during April of 1974 and being an Artist in Residence at the Hampshire College in Amherst, MA during January of 1973.  Currently Lonny Gordon is the Artist in Residence for Illinois State University.
