Martin Carrascosa Goes to Hollywood
September 2, 2009 Martin Carrascosa No CommentsFor Martin Carrascosa, a Texan native who moved to Hollywood, CA after graduating from college, life on the fast lane has been an interesting ride.
Martin Carrascosa wasted no time in signing up for acting lessons and quickly found an agent to represent him. Several auditions, a few roles in short independent films later, he discovered that he being an actor doesn’t always pay the bills.
Martin Carrascosa did what many struggling young actors in Hollywood do. He found a job tending bar along the Sunset Strip, where his natural outgoing personality made him opened doors to other opportunities like modeling. He landed a fee modeling gigs with Zuma surfwear and Nightgig before he finally made the acquaintance of Hollywood producer, Stephan Reign, and and Jackass star, Steve-O.
Putting his business degree to good use, he founded DirtyBird Entertainment LLC, a production company with Steve-O and a few other associates which began work on what can accurately be described as a female version “Jackass,” in which he acted, produced, co-wrote and did some of the stunts. “BallzGirlz” was filmed across the United States and was shown in several film festivals before being release in DVD. It is currently being shown in episodes overseas.
Today, Martin Carrascosa still serves as a consultant for several Hollywood productions, such as, Inuturo (a Hawaii based production by Nathanael Couffman) and Tyme 2 Shyne Artistic studios, a multimedia green company for young Hollywood performers.
